Moffat a expliqué qu'il ne serait pas contre qu'il joue dans la série mais il a expliqué que ça ne serait pas possible:
Hold onto your deerstalkers fanboys and girls, Sherlock co-creator Steven Moffat has been talking about what it would be like if former Doctor Matt Smith joined Sherlock.
Moffat, who is both showrunner on the sci-fi series and co-creator of the detective drama, says there’s “enough inevitable crossover” between the two and that “nothing is impossible”.
“If there was a perfect part for Smith, there’s no rule against it,” Moffat tells Zap2it, adding “We wouldn’t want it to be stunt casting, because stunt casting doesn’t work, so it would have to be just because he was overwhelmingly right for it.”
But he admits, “It might be disconcerting for either of them to appear in the other’s show.”
In perhaps an unintentional nod to the series two Sherlock cliffhanger, Moffat adds, “I’d jump at the chance to work with [Matt] again. I don’t know how likely that is to be on the set of Sherlock.”
How it would play out, who knows? Would Smith enlist Sherlock to help him with the case of the missing bow-tie?Perhaps he could use the Tardis to create the perfect "locked room" puzzle?
The possibilities are endless. But likely? We’ll have to watch this space.
