Voici le ressenti de Peter Capaldi quand il est rentré dans le Tardis pour la première fois, on apprend qu'il respecte enormement Matt:
"Peter came in with great respect. I met up with Peter the night before, and I said to him ‘Look why don’t you come into the TARDIS so that you’re not walking into the TARDIS for the first time, in front of a crew, about to shoot your bit of the regeneration?’ I’d worked with Peter on The Hour so we knew each other – and initially he said ‘No, no, it’s fine,’ and I said ‘No, no, come on! Everyone’s gone, come and see it…’ So we had a play on the TARDIS. I said ‘Flick some switches,’ and he said, ‘Look, I can’t do this. I’m not going to be the Doctor now, so why don’t we both be the Doctor?’ It was very funny. I got to be the Doctor with Peter, playing. It was a lovely, what he called it – ‘Regeneration Eve’. It was a lovely way to be in that space and for us to catch up and talk. He was very nervous because, obviously, he loves Doctor Who. We talked openly about how nervous he was. He respects Matt massively, and loves what Matt’s done. So that crossover when Matt walked off the set and Peter walked on…It’s a real credit to both those men, let me tell you, because Matt just knew how Peter must be feeling, because he remembered how he felt when he had to do that with David Tennant." —
Jamie Payne, director of “The Time of the Doctor” on Peter’s first visit to the TARDIS from DWM April 2014.
Moffat a enfin résolu l'enigme du Tardis sur Trenzalore:
Moffat has addressed some timey-wimey confusion following events in The Time of the Doctor.
In his production notes in the latest DWM a reader asks that if the Doctor in fact prevented his own death how could his tomb be there in The Name of the Doctor?
Moffat replies: “I’ve often wondered about that. Fortunately, late one night, the Doctor turned up in person and explained it to me:
“THE DOCTOR: Changing time is tricky. It’s a bit like a detective story: so as long there isn’t an actual body, you’ve got a certain amount of wiggle room – for instance, if the body has, rather conveniently, been burned on a boat in Utah.
“Here’s the thing: I can change the future so long as the future has not already been established as part of my own past. I can’t rescue Amy and Rory because I already know that I didn’t.
“But what do I know about Trenzalore? There’s a big monument that looks very like my TARDIS. There’s a temporal fissure leading to my timeline. Maybe it’s my grave. Maybe, one day, it’s my burial ground. Maybe it is something else entirely, and we got it all wrong. Don’t know. Don’t plan to find out for as long as possible. The main thing is, Clara still jumped into my time stream, and ended up helping me through all of my life. All that is established, unchanged – but there’s wiggle room!”

Matt lors de la convention de la semaine dernière a révélé que la régénération d'Eleven devait être plus brutal et violente, il devait notamment perdre une jambe!!
Matt Smith has said that the regeneration fans saw in The Time of the Doctor was very different to other versions he shot.
Speaking at the WonderCon Q&A he said: “It’s very interesting the Christmas episode and particularly the regeneration. We shot so many versions of that.”
He elaborates: “We shot much more brutal, emotional and troubling takes and stories in there. The actual take that is used is an interesting one for me.”
Unfortunately Smith doesn’t go into further details but original reports claimed the 11th Doctor lost a leg at some point.
Smith admits he would have preferred one of the alternative versions: “To be honest, although it’s still a great episode, I think perhaps of what we shot and what was cut I would have chosen differently.”
